Not listening to his father's advice, young Icarus flew too close to the sun, which melted his wax-made wings, and plummeted down to his demise.
This was an entry for Old vs. Young "Mythology Freestyle" battle on w1k. Because there were 16 people, we divided it into two teams, and I was on team 2. Unfortunately, some people didn't make it on time.  [link] I came in 5th out of 7 in my team... but in the end, the YOUNGSTERS WON! W00T!!!  (The highest scoring illustration still was an elder though.) I originally called it plain "Icarus" but I realized by the time I was done with the 'molten wax flow' that it coincidentally resembled an iPod ad... and many people commented about it too, so I changed the title here.    I'm going through the new deviations rather late. Can you tell?
