Say grace... 
I may or may not have actually said something similar (but shorter and less dramatic) before eating the roasted chicken dinner tonight.
The full story: After cutting the string that holds the roasted chicken together, I said "You're free! Now fly away!" Then I felt bad about joking to the poor dead thing, so I immediately apologized and said "be my flesh and blood," thus the strip.
RIP Chicken. You were good.
